A story that highlights the impact of maintenance on patient outcomes, and the lessons learned from both successes and failures in the field.
We've changed the way maintenance is performed
HeliLadder was founded in 2014 by Dale and Susie Neubauer in Bend, Oregon. Initially operating out of their garage, Dale used his 30 years of experience maintaining a multitude of aircraft to create the world’s first modular and portable workstand.
The core mission: provide a ladder that would notably improve access to the upper airframe and rotor system. By doing so, maintenance efficiency and mission availability would be greatly enhanced.
As the product line grew, so did our passion to change the way maintenance is performed on a daily basis. The belief that your safety and comfort within any operation precedes all else is what proudly drives us to provide you with equipment of the highest quality. Today, HeliLadder products can be found across the globe, with over 4,000 units sold.
Dale at Air Life Texarkana, 1987
Most of Dale’s career was spent in the field environment, working on air ambulances. He was the primary contributor of the CAMTS Maintenance Standards for Hospital Aviation, and also supported UH72 Med EVACs as an AirBus Field Service Rep.
An extensive background provided a deep understanding of what is needed to safely and efficiently maintain aircraft, and the realization that if the process of quality maintenance is not being supported, it is being impeded.
