About HeliLadder

“I thought it was just ridiculous that maintenance ladders had not improved. Nothing had changed, except they were now made out of fiberglass, but it was still the same conventional design they had used in World War II.”

HeliLadder was founded in 2015 by Dale and Susie Neubauer in Bend, Oregon. Initially operating out of their garage, Dale used his 30 years of experience maintaining a multitude of aircraft to create the world’s first modular and portable workstand.

As the product line grew, so did our passion to change the way maintenance is performed on a daily basis. The belief that your safety and comfort within any operation precedes all else is what proudly drives us to provide you with equipment of the highest quality.

Most of Dale’s career was spent in the field environment, working on air ambulances. He was the primary contributor of the CAMTS Maintenance Standards for Hospital Aviation, and also supported UH72 Med EVACs as an AirBus Field Service Rep.

This extensive background provided a deep understanding of what is needed to safely and efficiently maintain aircraft, and the realization that if the process of quality maintenance is not being supported, it is being impeded.

In honor of Kenneth Leo Neubauer (1st Infantry Division, Vietnam 67-68), HeliLadder of Blue Moon Designs is proud to support the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch with the purchase of their first Navajo-Churro Ram! We strongly encourage others to support this unique Veterans program: a working ranch that restores purpose and spirit to Veterans of all ages.

Visit COVR

COVR is a 19-acre working ranch located just north of Bend, Oregon. We are supporting our veterans in dealing with post-war trauma, moral injury, and transition back to civilian life. Veterans can engage with the Ranch through volunteering for ongoing projects related to farming and ranching. We also host veteran groups that hold their meetings at the Ranch.

In 2021 we are working on opening our Honor Quarters, a peaceful home on the ranch that will provide specialized end of life care to our post-war veterans, providing them the support and space to find healing and peace as they transition to pass.

Through these opportunities, veterans have a place where they find community, comfort, and camaraderie to further foster healing, find new purpose, and ultimately, change the trajectory of their lives.
