HELILADDER FAQs
The MX5 Base Unit can accept 2’, 3’, 4’ and 5’ Standard Extensions, 2’ and 3’ Walk-Thru Extensions, or a single-person Service Deck.
Two MX5 Base Units with a Service Deck installed on each can be interconnected with a 70” or 90” Platform, creating the MXPS (Maintenance Platform System)
2’, 3’, and 4’ Extensions can interface with the MXPS Platform for additional height.

Maintenance is a critically important process that provides crew safety and aircraft availability. Providing technicians with professional grade ladder-stands supports the process of efficient maintenance. Example:
· A main rotor damper is due replacement on a hospital based AW119. Due to the poor ergonomics and hazardous positioning forced upon the technician when using a conventional ladder, the task requires 1.5 hours to accomplish. A flight request is received 1.25 hours into the project. The flight is missed, resulting in loss revenue and compromised patient care.
· In contrast, utilizing the professional grade HeliLadder allows the technician to safely and efficiently complete the task in 1 hour. The flight request is accepted, and revenue is generated. The purchase of HeliLadder equipment did not ‘cost’ the program anything, but rather generated revenue that otherwise would have been lost – and more importantly, emergent care was provided to the patient!
The only parts to install are a pair of wheels and 2 rubber bumpers. All hardware is provided.
A huge advantage of our product line is the modularity and the ability to adapt the equipment to most single and twin engine helicopters, as well as difficult to access airplane and drone components.

In short, no. However, there is an additional 11″ step included with each Service Deck to provide the user an extra step up.
Two Service Decks interconnected with a 70″ or 90″ Platform can have an Extension installed. Extension Receivers are included with any MXPS Platform purchase.
The HeliLadder L-Series retains the quality, safety, and durability of the MX5, but is not modular. These are fixed-length ladders that require some assembly (utilizing 14 AN5 bolts) upon receipt.
Cost is heavily dependent on program type and size. A great starting point for any operation includes an MX5 Base Unit with one or two Extensions, averaging between $6,000 – $7,000.
As budget permits, additional Extensions, Service Decks, Platforms, and other options can be purchased later.
L-Series range from $3800-$4400.
